Schooltrip to Liverpool from Germany. My students loved the Embassie. Exceptional value for money. In walking distance to everything. Clean and safe dorms, convenient self catering facilities for our large group of 12, very flexible and easy going. It offers all one needs plus lots more. The committed staff and charismatic owners are awesome. They give each guest a family-like feeling, so it is easy to make contact with all sorts of people. Everyone is talking over tea all the time, every guest is looked after diligently. They make leaving difficult. So what? I’m coming back next year with another group of my students.

Stayed here at Embassie for the third time this New Year's Eve, and was every bit as great as the two times before! Such a homely feel, and Kevin & the rest were so accommodating! Such a relaxed atmosphere and got to know a lovely bunch of people from all over the world once again! Staff had even given us drinks and snacks in the games room seeing as it was New Year's Eve, and we even got a gift off Kevin on our departure! Thanks again Embassie; we will probably be seeing you soon!

Hard to believe that it is nearly 6 years since I last stayed there. But I will be putting that right. Looking forward to meeting up with the Keviins, meeting old friends, and perhaps making a few new ones. However, it won't be the same without Andy (Bo J) being there.

What can I say about the Embassie that hasn't already been mentioned elsewhere? Not a lot really. And to give you an idea of how long I've been coming there, I first arrived there in March 1995. You can't beat the homely atmosphere of the Embassie. See you December 30th,

Me and my best friend John stayed at the Embassie for a week in the late summer of 1998 (i think it was september). We were planning to go to Australia for a year in 1999 (wich we eventually did). We travelled the UK as sort of a test run for the Australia trip.
We had a great time in Liverpool. With hindsight, the week in Liverpool turned out to be as epic as the whole year in Australia. The Embassie played a big part in that. Thanks for the great memories!
Cheers and greatings from the Netherlands,
Ronny

I stayed there in march 2012. As going through some pics from my UK trip I realised Ive never left any comment on how excellent my experience at the hostel was. First of all, the coziness of that gorgeous kitchen and backyard! Then it only got better with Kevin´s free tour, it was absolutely one of the highlights of my trip. He´s such an adorable man, who you can tell loves sharing his Beatle times with anybody willing to listen. Then everybody working there was super friendly and approachable, the guys even helped me get a super cheap sit at the train online I wouldnt have known how to get there on my own. All in all, I had the idea of staying for 2 nights and finished staying for 4 cause I wasnt able to leave that place on time. Thanx once more. My greetings from Argentina!!! PS: Do u agree we deserved to win the Worldcup too ;) ?

Stayed here for 3 days in June '14. Had a great time. Kevin (owner) was really cool and gave a great Beatles walking tour around the Fab's old haunts. Has some great stories about those incredible years, (ask Kevin about his old skiffle group!). You won't find anyone more knowlegable on the Beatles, especially the early days.

Can't say anything bad about the whole experience. Will definitely return. Thanx Kevin.

I stayed in Embassie for one night and It couldn't be better choice! Kevin and his family (Eliot, Kevin Jr...) are very friendly and I enjoyed talking to them. I went to Liverpool looking for The Beatles story and as soon as I arrived Kevin gave me all kind of tips for travelling around the city (info about buses, a guide...). On thursday night Kevin makes a free tour around the centre of the city, talking about The Beatles but as well about Liverpool history. The tour finishes at The cavern Club with a really good Beatles cover.
The rooms are tidy and clean and their provide with free coffee, tea and toast during all day.

I had some family issues so my post is delayed! I chose Liverpool to venture away from the traditional hotel with my son and I will NEVER regret it.

Kevin brought us on the most informative Beatles tour that ended at the Cavern for the live show. We spent two weeks in the UK backpacking through the country and this is the experience we discuss the most.

The entire two days was so comfortable and welcoming.

I will bring my husband next time we go, I cant begin to relay everything we were told and I want him to experience it just like we did!

Only stayed one night but I wish I could have stayed longer! I was lucky it was a Thursday night too, as Kevin's free Beatles tour was really interesting - he's got a great sense of humour. The hostel itself was really comfortable, the rooms were clean and the outdoor area was relaxing. It's the little things that make a big difference, Kevin provides free tea, coffee and toast... With vegemite for the Australians!

Greetings!

I stayed for one night here and I find it freindly and welcolming. No sooner has I arrived, I was offered a cup of tea or coffee which was served to me on a tray.
I made several friends here during my stay and it was very interesting meeting people of various different nationalities. It has been many years since I stayed in a hostel and I was pleasantly surprised how convenient it was with it being so near the city centre. There is plenty of space to chill out and you can store and cook your own food. I look forward to staying here again.
